Tom Paxton is an American folk singer-songwriter, born 1937 in Chicago and raised in Bristow, Oklahoma, who became prominent during the 1960s Greenwich Village folk revival and has remained active for roughly 60 years. He signed to Elektra Records in 1964, releasing his debut album 'Ramblin' Boy' (produced by Paul Rothchild), later worked with Warner Bros.' U.K. branch, and founded his own label, Pax Records, in 1986. He continues to collaborate with artists such as The Don Juans (Jon Vezner and Don Henry), John McCutcheon, Anne Hills, and Bob Gibson.

I have been a fan since the late 50s. He write the most pointed and accurate political songs. However, he writes the tenderest love songs - Even a Gray Day, When Annie Took Me Home, I Give You The Morning. Great singer and a greater song writer.
