The Who
The Who formed in London in 1964 with Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon. They pioneered rock opera with Tommy in 1969 and are known for their aggressive stage antics and innovations including Marshall stacks, synthesizers, and power chords. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, they are considered one of the major bands of the rock & roll era.
