The O'Jays
American R&B group formed in 1958 in Canton, Ohio, originally consisting of Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey, and Bill Isles. They achieved major success in the 1970s with Philadelphia International Records, producing hits like 'Back Stabbers,' 'Love Train,' and 'For The Love of Money.' The group was the first black vocal group to perform in U.S. arenas in the 70s and 80s.
