Sara Watkins is an American singer-songwriter and fiddler best known as a founding member of the progressive bluegrass band Nickel Creek, formed in 1989 in Carlsbad, California, alongside her brother Sean Watkins and Chris Thile. She has since developed a solo career on Nonesuch Records and co-founded the roots supergroup I'm With Her (2014) and the ongoing Watkins Family Hour project.
