Minor White
Minor White (1908–1976) was an American photographer, educator, and critic, born in Minneapolis and later based in Rochester, Portland, and Boston, recognized as a major figure in 20th-century creative photography. He was praised by peers such as Ansel Adams as 'one of the greatest of photographers,' and his work and archives are held by institutions including the Getty, Princeton Art Museum, SFMOMA, ICP, and the Smithsonian.
