José Clemente Orozco (1883–1949) was a Mexican muralist born in Ciudad Guzmán and one of 'Los Tres Grandes' of Mexican muralism, alongside Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Known for large-scale, socially and politically charged murals, his major works include murals at the National Preparatory School in Mexico City, the New School in New York, and 'Prometheus' at Pomona College.
