Gregory Crewdson (b. 1962, Brooklyn) is an American photographer known for large-scale, elaborately staged, cinematic photographs of suburban and small-town American life, produced with a full film-style production crew. Before his art career he played in the teenage power pop band The Speedies, co-writing 'Let Me Take Your Foto/Photo'. He has exhibited works such as 'Beneath the Roses' and 'Cathedral of the Pines' and is represented by galleries including Gagosian and Templon.
