Eddie Cochran (1938–1960) was an American rock and roll singer, guitarist, and songwriter born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, best known for the hit 'Summertime Blues.' He died at age 21 in a car crash in England in 1960 and was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
