Alice Nine is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in Tokyo in 2004, consisting of members Shou, Hiroto, Tora, Saga, and Nao. The band released at least eight albums, operated under the name A9 from 2015 to 2019 due to a legal dispute over the band name, and announced an indefinite hiatus in September 2023 after 18 years of activity.
“First 3 albums are nostalgic and really good! I've also liked what i've heard of Gemini and 9 still, and been wanting to hear those in full. After that i kinda lost interest tho, haven't been too impressed with the later stuff i've heard :/”
“GEMINI is pretty awesome in my opinion (especially the ending), but I really dislike "9" too ("Heart of Gold" is epic tho...). Since this album there is no solid A9 release till "Medley" in 2021 for me. If this band is ever coming back from current hiatus there is a lot of ho”
“Yeah, idk, i don't play them all that often nowadays anyway, Vandalize most often if i do, but i still probably should check Gemini at least someday.”
“it's not the original version tho. What happened to this band, they disappeared all the sudden?”
“You either buy a single track or pirate it. There is no other way :v”
“time machine ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, jelly fish.......................................................... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

With a Gap Score of 6/100, Alice Nine's artistic quality significantly exceeds their current level of recognition (indie). Contributing factors: they operate without major label backing, which limits access to radio play, editorial playlists, and mainstream press coverage; with 10K monthly listeners, they haven't yet crossed the algorithmic threshold where streaming platforms begin recommending them organically; being based in Japan, they face additional barriers to visibility in the English-language-dominated global music industry.
